Kingsknowes Hotel Reviewed by Steven D on . Style and grandeur enveloped in the snug embrace of warm hospitality that the family who run this hotel offer so liberally. What an amazing building, highly finished to preserve many of the features that a century and a half of history lends it. It starts when you walk into the main hall and continues in the bedrooms. With all the grandeur you might expect a cold and formal welcome or worst still, a corporate cleanliness. But that ends when you meet any one of the proprietors or staff who run the hotel - they exude a warm hospitality at every opportunity. And this was extended to every single one of my family of five where here too they were very accommodating. From the extra place set up in the room (which was more than sufficiently sized to fit us all comfortably in) to the extra care to accommodate very different palates at breakfast. I cannot wait to come back and I will do it as soon as I can from as far as Hampshire just south of London. And I am going to spread the word to everyone there too. Rating: 4/5
