Deer-Stalking
Enjoy this exciting sport in beautiful surroundings. Roe Buck Season 1st April - 19th October; Roe Deer Season 20th October - 30th March. Outings usually last 3 hours with a guide.

Clay Pigeon Shooting
Novice and experienced shots ar made most welcome at Braidwood sporting clays, situated 4 miles from the Hotel. Experienced instructors will be there to guide you.

Horse-Riding
This is great horse-riding country, with rolling hills, valleys and spectacular scenery. Many horses to choose from. Guide will accompany you.

Walking
A great deal of money has been spent in the Scottish Borders over the past few years improving routes. The Hotel sits just above the Southern Upland Way.

Cycling
There is cycling in the area for the person who wants to enjoy quiet road routes and paths and for the adventurous as local forests are now offering many downhill mountain terrain tracks. According to the guests who have used these facilities it would appear they are first class.
